The idea

the sign-up looks like a page of the letter itself. A wide main column with a thin rule on its left holds a big Literata heading, "Small notes from the margins of design.", with "margins" in vermilion serif italic, one line about what arrives and when, one field with a plain underline and a black square Subscribe button. The margins carry the facts as notes: issue number, reading time, readers, and on the right last Sunday's title as a sample.

Palette and fonts: warm paper, ink black, vermilion, warm grey · Literata 500, Instrument Sans, Instrument Serif italic for the accent
