The idea

as friendly as the noticeboard by the shop. On warm paper, the gouache red letterbox sits in a tall arched frame with a white border and a caption for people who still like paper. Beside it a soft Young Serif heading, "The village, in your inbox every Friday.", with "Friday" ringed by a hand-drawn red circle, one line on what is in it and how many homes read it, then "This Friday" with three real-sounding stories between two hairlines. A round field, a red "Sign me up" button, the time it arrives, "Leave in one click" and where to send news.

Palette and fonts: warm paper, letterbox red, hedge green, stone, ink · Young Serif, Work Sans
