The idea

the page after a sign-up, set like a little magazine. A double rule under the masthead, then a huge Abril Fatface "Check your inbox." with a vermilion underline, and a drawn envelope with a red seal floating gently beside it. Three ruled steps say exactly what to do and when the first letter comes, with big red numbers. A plain line helps when the email does not arrive. Three past letters follow as white cards with a paper shadow, entering one after another, so the wait is worth something. One button to the archive.
