The idea
a journal as calm as a good room, with the pictures kept back until you ask. On warm stone, a big Cormorant heading, "Notes on colour.", where the last words change in terracotta italic: colour, light, small rooms, old houses. A short line, the designer's initials and name, and a deep green button. On the right a ruled, numbered list of six posts: the room and date in small capitals, the title in serif, and a one-line excerpt. Rest the mouse on a title (or tab to it) and a small white card opens under it with the room's painting on top, the title, the excerpt and the reading time. Posts without a picture get the compact card.
Palette and fonts: warm stone, white, near-black brown, deep green, terracotta · Cormorant Garamond 500 and italic, Manrope
