The idea

a workshop ledger, honest and exact. On cream, a bold Literata heading, "The restoration log.", with "log." in oxblood. Below, a double-ruled log: a green reference number, the car (year and body, with its nickname and the owner's town in mono), what was done, the hours in big mono figures and the month it went home. The current job sits on a white band with a green top line and an oxblood "In the workshop" tag, and under it two still drawings side by side: the garage it was found in, and the same garage cleared. One green button ends the log. Cars are named by year and body only, never by make.
