1. 1994

   One room above a bakery

   Margaret Kinfield opens the firm on Station Parade with a desk, a kettle and a part-time secretary, Joan, who stays for 22 years.

2. 2003

   Mediation first

   We train as family mediators, so couples can agree arrangements without going to court. Today six in ten of our cases never do.

3. 2011

   Amira joins as a partner

   Amira Haddad brings children's law and opens our Ripon office, two days a week.

4. 2019

   A free first consultation

   Every new client gets 30 minutes free, by phone or in person. No obligation, no hurry.

5. Today

   Nine lawyers, two offices

   Still family law only. Still the same phone number, and still answered by a person.
