Gull Rock House · our story

A captain's house, still looking out to sea

Captain Pender built this house on the Rock in 1932 so he could watch his boats come home. It was a guest house by the sixties, and tired by the time we found it.

We spent two winters mending it: the boathouse became a spa, the cellar a warm pool, and every one of the 14 rooms got a window on the cove.

14rooms, all with a sea view
