1. About these terms

1.1These terms cover every project we take on for you: design, building a website, and the care plan after launch. Your quote says which parts you have chosen.

1.2"We" means Field Notes Studio Ltd. "You" means the business named on the quote. If your quote and these terms disagree, the quote wins.

2. Quotes and deposits

2.1A quote is fixed for 30 days. It lists the pages, the features and the number of design rounds included.

2.2We book your project into our calendar when you accept the quote and pay a deposit of 40%. The deposit is not refunded once we have started the design.

3. What we deliver

3.1We design and build the pages listed in your quote, test them on phones, tablets and computers, and launch the site on your hosting.

3.2Each design stage includes two rounds of changes. We show you every stage on a private link before it goes live.

4. Your part

4.1You send us your words, pictures and logins by the dates in the project plan. If they arrive late, the launch date moves by the same number of days.

4.2You confirm that you have the right to use everything you send us, including photographs and fonts.

5. Paying us

5.1We invoice 40% to start, 40% when you approve the design, and 20% at launch. Invoices are due within 14 days.

5.2If an invoice is more than 30 days late, we may pause the work until it is paid.

6. Changes and extra work

6.1Anything not in your quote is extra work. We tell you the price in writing, and do it only after you say yes. Our day rate is $480.

7. Who owns what

7.1Once everything is paid, the finished design and content are yours. We may show the project in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

8. Ending the project

8.1Either of us can end the project with 14 days' notice in writing. You pay for the work done up to that day, and we hand over everything made so far.
