Before you join

Who picks the books?
Our three booksellers take turns. Mostly new fiction, one memoir or history book a season, and never a book we have not read ourselves.
What if I have already read it?
Tell us by the 20th and we will swap it for the next month's pick, or a book from our shelf of past picks.
Can I skip a month?
Yes. Skip up to three months a year from your account, and you are not charged for them.
Do I have to come to the meetings?
Not at all. About half our members only read. The meetings are on the last Thursday, 7pm, with tea and cake.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Not yet. For now we ship to UK addresses only, free of charge.
