The last boat built on the slipway

Video poster: a painting of a wooden sailing boat on a slipway in a small harbor, with people working round it and houses behind

The Mary Ellen, a 34-foot crabber, was the last boat built on our slipway, in 1961. Over one winter the Tuesday volunteers took her back to bare oak and put her together again. She is in Gallery 2 now. Plan your visit
