The idea

a long read that feels like the town's own paper. On warm newsprint, a masthead between double rules (the name, the issue and "12 min read"), then a big Abril Fatface title with "everyone" in a blue serif italic, an italic standfirst and the byline, all fading up together. The article is set in Literata at 20 px with an oxblood drop cap and small oxblood note numbers. The 1930s lido painting sits a little wider than the text in a white mount and turns from grey to colour as it reaches the middle of the screen. One reader's memory gets an oxblood rule, the notes close the story, and a double-ruled box asks for photographs.
