The idea

the shop's press cuttings, pinned up like a noticeboard. On marigold, a tall Bebas heading, "The papers keep finding us", fades in letter group by group, with "finding us" double underlined in ink, and a book sticker rocks beside it. A big spotlight shows one drawn clipping at a time on a hard ink shadow and changes every 4.5 seconds, with a bar running across its thumbnail; a red "as read in print" rosette rocks on its corner. Beside it one pull quote fills from grey to ink as you scroll. An ink band at the bottom carries the made-up paper names, moving.

Palette and fonts: marigold, ink, newsprint cream, deep teal, letterpress red · Bebas Neue, Literata

The calm copy

the same marigold noticeboard: "The papers keep finding us" in tall Bebas with "finding us" double underlined in ink, a still book sticker, the big spotlight of drawn clippings on a hard ink shadow with the red "as read in print" rosette, and the pull quote beside it. Click a thumbnail to bring up another clipping. The ink band at the bottom lists the made-up paper names, still.
